A start of something new...
I just putting some finishing touches on a new song, and I am excited. Each new song feels like it’s bigger, better and stronger than the previous one. I think this album is going to be my best yet. That’s how I always feel when working on new music, and that’s how it should be.
I have been quietly working on something else in addition to new music, and I think it’s time to unleash it to the world.
It’s no secret that I have been excited about AI for a couple of years now and I’ve been diving head first to explore its possibilities and its limits. This excitement has turned into a bigger and bigger focus for me, and it has become something I am truly passionate about.
Judging from all the hype out there, you would think that AI is already everywhere. That it will replace all people, especially musicians, and that soon all that’s left is AI Agents running wild, and the rest of us just crying into our cereal because there’s nothing left for humans to do.
I don’t really know what the future holds and I’m not that interested in predicting it. But in my exploration of AI when writing my new songs, when creating my new music, videos, and visuals, it has become clear to me that AI can be an incredible tool for artists.
I am a solo, independent artist. I do everything on my own and I like it that way. The problem is that I don’t always have the money, time or people to help me bring my ideas to life.
Now with AI as my minion, I do.
I also believe that we are at the very beginning of this change. AI is still pretty crude and clumsy, but it’s moving fast. The music I created with AI a year ago sounded like very low quality mp3s. It couldn’t hold a beat. Nor a tune. Now, it’s pretty good.
AI still can’t draw fingers, it doesn’t understand the laws of physics, and sometimes it creates the most random stuff, but it has helped me create art I just wasn’t able to create before.
For the first time I find myself facing the limits of my imagination faster than the limits of my budget!
So, I’ve decided to start something new.
I’ve created a new community called AI for Musicians. It will be the place where I’ll start chronicling HOW I create with AI. Sharing my own progress, experiments and learnings as I go.
The idea of this community is to bring musicians together to learn, share and push the boundaries of AI as musicians. To create art, not slop.
I truly believe that AI will become a core tool in all creative work. Well, in all work to be honest. Just like “digital” became a core part of everything we do.
If you are a fellow musician, I would love for you to join me in the community, and share how you think you'll be using AI. If you're already creating with AI in any shape or form, come and share your work!
And even if you are not doing either, you might be interested in seeing how I and others create with AI.
This community is free, so come on in!

I hope to see you there!
