Why is the album called Voyager?

Today I want to share the story behind the EP’s name Voyager. Why Voyager?
As you probably now know very well by now, the album was started way back in 2024 when the first AI music tools came out, and I decided to put them to a real test and make an entire album with them. I didn’t know what would happen, but I wanted to find out.
Since then AI has exploded into the mainstream, and sometimes it feels it’s all people talk about. There's a lot of hype out there, how AI is going to be the solution to all human problems.
There is also a lot of fearmongering going on. AI's going to take over the world, and we are all going to lose our jobs and become irrelevant.
I don’t know which vision is closer to the truth, and only time will tell. But things are moving fast, and new ground-breaking news, tools and changes seem to be rolling out on a weekly basis.
I could really feel it first hand, when I was working on this album. Many of the tools that I've been using when creating this album have been literally just released, so every step has been a total exploration, and entering the unknown.
And that’s where the name of the album came from - Voyager.
Voyager as the title brings together the whole journey of making this album and all the themes that are bubbling in the world right now. Voyager is about exploration and entering the unknown. It's about curiosity and embracing change. And it's about feeling the fear but still moving forward.
I wanted to tell that story in the album art, as well. Voyager is a traveler, heading into the future. She is surrounded by mementos from her travels, little trinkets and treasures. In her right hand, she holds a glowing globe, which represents the opportunity and the excitement for the future. And in her left hand, she's holding a black skull, which represents that threat and the dark side of AI.
She's balancing them both in her hands, but despite the fears, she is optimistic, and the excitement for the future is winning.
I love how the album turned out and I will be sharing the deeper stories around each song and their making-of in the upcoming weeks.
I hope you’ll love this EP as much as I do.
