“Becoming Villainess” documents the journey that Jessi Frey went through as she created “Villainess”, her first album as a solo artist.

The book is a collection of short entries, where Jessi discusses her personal journey from a small town in Finland, growing up to become the artist and musician she is today. 

Each song on the album Villainess has its own entry, where Jessi talks about the ideas and lyrics behind the song, accompanied by the bespoke artwork, the song lyrics, and photography.

The book contains altogether over 60 images from the Villainess photoshoots and several rare images from various Velcra photoshoots.
